Thanks, I will try that!

Yeah, I asked my mom if she remembered you, and she sure did. She said she was the one who registered your sons. I also sub there occasionally, so I may have actually been in one of their classrooms. This is my first class as well, and I am excited. Since I am not working, I am taking three classes, and I hope to get through the program rather quickly.

Good luck to you!

That is great! I was born and raised here, and both my parents worked or have worked in the elementary. My mom, Maria, just retired last year as the secretary, and my father is still a custodian there! It really is amazing how small our world is.

I do have a quick question for you since you seem familiar with this all. How do I add a link to my account on the delicious tab of our 5110 ning. I can't seem to get it right!

Look at all I did!

I was in one of my classes this week, and we were talking about how we need to try to learn something new once a semester - so we don't overwhelm ourselves. I reflected on all that I learned during the month of June, and was I excited. I learned to podcast, animoto, voicethread, google docs, glogster, and more. I still have a list of tools that I want to play with before school starts. What fun!

Yea - I did it!

I finally posted my first podcast! I am very excited because I have wanted to learn to podcast for quite awhile. I made it much harder than it needed to be; thus, it took all afternoon. Nonetheless, I posted! Now, I need to get more efficient so I can teach my students. Since I started working in the library last fall, I have wanted to have students post book talks about the books in the library. I think it would be great to have the students promote the library. Now, I need to talk with the tec… Continue

Tech should be first SL class

True, I just started the SL program, but already I have a suggestion. (Of course!) Tech should be one of the first SL classes because already I have learned so much, and I know all these tools will be very helpful for future collaboration and projects that I will be working on. It is fun for me to try new things on the computer, but I love the directions and help that I get from others along the way. I am quite certain what I learn from 5110 will be very beneficial in the library program as well… Continue

What did I get into?

I am starting my 15th year in education, and I waited to find just the right masters program. But...after starting my first two classes, I am left wondering What did I get into? I am very excited about what I will be learning, and I have my dream job in a high school library, but right now I am a little (OK alot) overwhelmed. I know it will get better. I feel like I have the deer in the headlights look. I am enjoying the classes, and I know I am a good role model for my three children. However,… Continue
