About Me:

I have my degree in Education/Physical Education. From my second year to my 17th year, I taught P.E., French and Drama at the Middle school level. I've coached a variety of sports, but specialize in volleyball, and I ran the school drama club. I ran X-country in university, been involved in community theatre, organized 5 educational trips to France for students, and 2 to Quebec. I've been married for 21 years, no kids (well, 3 cats), and I'm an only child!

Hobbies

Golf, photography, gardening, baking/cooking, and reading of course!

Current position and employment location

I'm a Teacher-Librarian in a gr. 7-12 school that is in it's 6th year. I was fortunate to be hired to be part of the team to open the school. I was in the classroom for the first year as well as opening the library, and after the second year, I was given a Library Assistant. What professional development topics are you interested in learning more about?

Using technology to teach information literacy, interactive information literacy lessons, use of iPads, iPhones in education - specifically library skills, advocacy - selling my skills to the staff!
