Lisa Seaberg replied to Lisa Seaberg's discussion Collaboration & Writing focus in the group SL5020 Cooperative Collection Development
"If people did want to participate I think you would have to ask them to post at least two lessons / year or something like that to get it started. You may also want them to have a place to discuss lesson plan ideas or a place to ask questions."

Sandra Abigail Lind replied to Lisa Seaberg's discussion Collaboration & Writing focus in the group SL5020 Cooperative Collection Development
"I like your idea of a ning! That would require some participation among librarians, but I think if people were willing to participate it would create a great resource for everyone involved! I also like your writing ideas!"

Collaboration & Writing focus

Long Term / Low Cost ActivityOne long term/ No Cost Activity would be to create a Ning or a Google Site in which Librarians from the same district or state can share collaborative lessons. It would be good for my library because I…See More

Sharing our Lessons?

Would anyone be willing to share the lesson you created last week for our class? Being so new to the library, I would love having a plethora of lessons to use when collaborating with teachers. My lesson, Africa, is written for a fourth grade class social studies unit. In my district, the 4th grader study Africa for about 10 weeks. This lesson is using Google maps and Google earth instead of a traditional wall map to begin the unit.See More
