Wikipedia as a Resource?

I'm getting tired of people constantly calling Wikipedia inaccurate and an unreliable resource. The reason is because of the misperception that anyone can edit and INSTANTLY alter an article. Libraries as Bookstores

So I recently spent some time with an amazing librarian and she mentioned something I really hadn't thought of before. She said "I'm a fan of making libraries look more like bookstores." This really was an eye opener for me. I hadn't thought of it befre but she's got an excellent point. By designing a library to look more like a bookstore, you are really marketing to the customer. Thoughts on Controversial Texts in a School Library

I find that the challenge of building a collection can be both exciting and daunting, and this chapter hits on the heart of why. There are so many new forms of media and so many social taboos that have been stripped away (and are still) that the variety of literature available for youth to explore is staggering.
