About Me:
I have been working part time as a library aide at a private elementary school for the past 5 years. My educational background is in the area of social work. My goal is to eventually get my teaching certificate, but for now I am interested in learning about what will benefit my position right now. I am also a mother of three active children.
Hobbies
I love to read, however, most of my free time is spent cheering my kids on at their various sporting events. In the summer, we love to camp and hike in beautiful Colorado.
Current position and employment location
I work part time (24 hrs a week) as a library aide at a K-8 Denver Christian School campus.
Favorite Book:
whatever I am reading right now... but the top book for me would have to be The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell
Favorite Library:
The little public library in my hometown of Lynden, Ontario. I have such great memories of the time I spent there as a child. Mrs Dearsley, the librarian was the best!

Karen, I believe it was you who recommended Storybird earlier in the semester? If so, I want to thank you so much for suggesting this excellent resource! My fourth grade class is absolutely eating it up, and even my lowest writers are producing amazing stories inspired by the art on this site. Thanks so much for helping us rediscover the joy of writing...especially after CSAP! :)
