An education and tech librarian shared a great tool with me for getting citations from websites and other strange things.  It puts all the available info into whatever citiation format you need.  Main thing is it works only with Mozilla Firefox browsers but thats a free download.  The program is called Zotero and you can sign up and a zotero icon hangs out at the bottom right of the browser.  You can choose to stay logged in for two weeks and it saves all your sites and citations that you add to it.  Best of all, its free!

Hello! I failed to realize that filling out my profile was not the same thing as filling out a bio.

I am in my fifth year as the librarian at a parochial school in Jefferson County. The position is a dream job, however without the degree I felt I wasn't living up to my potential. I began the UCD program last fall.

My husband and I are Illinois transplants and our two sons are high school students.

I hope this course helps me refine my library to make it more relevant and up to date.

I'm still try to figure how to upload my pic. It's in my profile, if fact I can see it now over to the right of this bio. As far as technology goes I'm partially proficient :)

Hello, class! I am a little late on this one, I was just a bit confused about where to post the intro. My name is Jamie and this is my first semester in the program.  I was a high school social studies teacher for 2 years at Colorado's Finest Alternative High School in Englewood. I am currently just a student (if any one hears of a secondary S.S. position let me know).  I am excited about becoming a teacher librarian here in near future.  I love to travel, camp, hike, raft, sew, and read in my free time.

Random, but a little tool that helped me a ton in my previous master's program for APA bibliographies... www.noodletools.com An $8 year long subscription formats all your citations for you (all you have to do is plug in the info) and then you can export it to word!! It also stores all of your bibliographies! The only thing you have to do after you export it is change your margins and un-double space the citations... I've found it really helpful and thought I'd throw it out to everyone :)

Good evening, everyone! I am a fourth grade teacher in Colorado Springs. This is my third year of teaching, but I would like to move into a teacher librarian role at some point. I am excited to learn from those of you who are already working in librarian roles! Have a wonderful week!

Hey class,

This is my first semester at UCD, and I am excited to get started.  I just finished my degree in PE from Metro State.  During my student teaching I was able to observe the librarian at my school and loved it.  I am hoping to get licensed in two areas of education that I am passionate about.
